Curriculum Upper
The core classes in the Upper School share what they learn in a grander way. The Seventh grade, for example, studies Colonial America. As the study of this subject unfolds, the Art and Music of the period are explored. Spanish is integrated to build vocabulary. The students plan a live display of the life of the Colonial people that is shared with the rest of the school. In small groups, they create representations of how items were made, explain the politics of the times, demonstrate farming techniques used, and what food, clothing and shelter looked like back then.
